Twitter's Definitive Voices & Leaders of Tomorrow...Prt 1 of 5

Ok, it's no secret that I love to tweet.  I do it often.  My tweets differ from those of many.  I don't tweet about my laundry. I don't rant and rave about racism nor do I shout (capitalize all the words of my tweets) when I tweet.

When I speak, I am heard.  There is no need for me to raise my voice.  When I tweet it is with purpose toward a definitive end.  It's catching on.  Today's post, and those that will follow, are to introduce you to those that I follow.  I do not follow aimlessly.  I do not follow just because.

I only follow those with a voice and a purpose in life.  I follow those who have unselfishly dedicated their life to improving the lives of others.  I follow them, because they strengthen me.  I follow them, because they enlighten me.  I follow them, because to do anything other than that is to miss out on the best part of life; good friends, good conversation, truthful news and information when and where you want it and need it.  I follow them, and they follow me, for the exact same reason. 

I follow greatness in the making.  I follow the legendary leaders of tomorrow, today on Twitter.   We are a group of individuals who are hard at work, and changing the world, one tweet, one life, one day at a time. We don't have time to waste on trivial things.  We don't tweet about our socks.  We don't slam, or scream at others.  We NEVER use graphic language that would be offensive to others.  We don't need to do that to be heard, or to be followed.

This is who I follow, and why I follow them.  Read on and perhaps you too will be inspired to follow those with a strong voice, and a definitive purpose in life.  You may just find your own voice, and your own true purpose in life, by following who I follow.

The Definitive Voices & Legendary Leaders of Tomorrow on Twitter

          

There is a lot that can be said, but often isn't.  In this ever changing world it's good to know that there are some things that you can rely on.  NBC News Anchor Brian Willams is, without question, a reliable source for news, commentary and is the welcoming voice, and face, of the evening news.

I don't trust anyone else to deliver the news to me in the evening.  I don't trust anyone else to ask the tough questions that are in the hearts, and on the minds, of everyday American's like you and me.  Brian gets to the heart of the matter by diving into conflict amid worn torn Afghanistan.  Brain has never shied away from conflict and will walk right into the middle of it if it means getting the story to the people who can most benefit from it.

 I am amazed at the amount of time, and effort, that Brian puts into each broadcast.  All the viewers see, at 5:30, is a well dressed, well groomed man in his mid 40's delivering the evening news, but Brian is hard at work when most of us are fast asleep.

Now, Brian will tell you that he doesn't do it all alone.  He will tell you that he has a dedicated team of hard working men, and women, that make it all look easy; and he's right.  They are, what Brian commonly refers to as the un-sung, behind-the-scenes, heroes of NBC Nightly News, MSNBC, The Today's Show etc..  They are the everyday, hardworking Americans that Brian gives voice to every night at 5:30p.m. 

Brian is a gifted, and talented, Journalist, a loving, and devoted, father, husband and a loyal friend.  He shares an honorable, journalistic distinction with larger-than-life, life changing news giants like David Brinkley, Walter Cronkite, Edward R. Murrow and Tom Brokaw.                                                                                              

It is a true honor to be able to follow @nbcnightlynews on Twitter.

Edward R. Murrow described Brian, according to me, perfectly in one of his many well known quotes.  "To be persuasive we must be believable; to be believable we must be credible; credible we must be truthful".  I could not have said it better myself.  Thank you Brian, and NBC Nightly News, for giving America news it needs when we need it from a reliable, and trusted, source.

As Brian signs off, after each broadcast, he remembers to thank us for watching by saying "That's our broadcast for this evening, and we thank you for watching.   I'm Brian Williams and we hope to see you back here again tomorrow night."

I can tell you honestly, and truthfully that millions of us will tune in again tomorrow night, and every night to Nightly News with Brian Williams.  It's a brand slogan, but it is true that "More Americans get their news from NBC News more than any other source" and it's no secret why.




When I wake in the morning I turn on Good Morning America.  I know what you're saying.  "Didn't you just say that you trust Brian Williams"?  Yes, I do.  I settle in, for the evening with Brian, but I wake and get the day going with @ChrisCuomo.  Why Chris?  Chris, like Brian, delivers the news to me in a way that I can trust.  He, like his colleague Brian, will go where he needs to go in order to get the story to the people who matter most; you and I.

Chris defines responsible journalism with every single broadcast.  He is a caring, and devoted father, husband and his loyalty is unquestionable.  He is an Emmy Award winning journalist that holds himself to very high standards.  If it's happening around the world then Chris is usually the first on the scene.  I don't watch any other morning show.  I don't watch any other morning Anchor.  There is no reason for me to.  Chris's journalistic style, and in-depth investigative reporting, have earned him some of the industry's highest distinctions. 

He doesn't just give us ground-breaking news, but he embodies it as one of the youngest journalist to receive an Emmy for his profile of a young 12-year-old poet named Mattie Stepanek.  Chris sets the bar high for other journalist with his "Faith in Tough Times" segments and his reporting of stories for Primetime.

He can be seen, every morning, on GMA and you can follow this strong voice of tomorrow on twitter @ChrisCuomo .  If you're going to follow, then follow those who not only have a voice, but give one to those who would otherwise have been overlooked.  It's one of the many reasons that I follow Chris.  It is a privilege to be able to follow the Definitive Voice, and life changing works that define @ChrisCuomo.

How would I define Chris, who he is, what he stands for and how he lives his life?  Chris Cuomo can best be described by the Pulitzer prize winning author John Steinbeck who is quoted as saying that

"Man, unlike anything organic or inorganic in the universe, grows beyond his work, walks up the stairs of his concepts, emerges ahead of his accomplishments"

It is an accurate description of the journalistic integrity, hard work and dedication of the award winning News Anchor; Chris Cuomo.  Follow him and be inspired to do more.  Follow him and be inspired to be more.  Follow him, as do I, and you will be following the voice of a legendary leader tomorrow, today, on Twitter.

You may, or may not, recognize the face to the left.  If your a news hound like me then you know that face belongs to the hottest news hound around; @MASHABLE! aka Pete Cashmore.  Pete is a law unto himself.  When Pete speaks, some 33-million people listen attentively, and I am one of those.

His brand is news.  His brand is the information super highway.  His brand is Mashable.  So, what is Mashable.  It's all the news that's happening anywhere, anytime, on any given subject coming to you from one single source; @Mashable.

His tweets are a fantastic way to stay in touch with what is happening in the world.  His updates are instantaneous and often times Pete knows what's going on before the rest of the world even has a clue that something went down.

How does he do it?  Well, I can't swear to this, but I would be willing to bet that he has tiny digital cameras posted at thousands of locations all across the world.  Ok, I know that's not realistic, but the truth is I have no idea how he knows, what he knows, when he knows it.  I can tell you that his information is #FACT and that he will never tweet anything that isn't proven to be 1000% true.  In other words, if @mashable is tweeting it, then you can bet the horse was standing next to him telling him exactly what to say.

@mashable is a trusted, reliable source for general news, tech news, e news and everything in between. I value honesty.  I value integrity.  I value Pete Cashmore and his brand; @mashable. That is why he is a voice and absolutely on his way to becoming a legendary leader of tomorrow.

There's a saying that I heard once that says something about "When angels speak the world stops to listen".  That's what comes to mind when I think about my sister JC Flamini.  When defining greatness I always look at that life of person.  How they lived, what they have accomplished, and how they are affecting, and improving life for someone else are all criteria I look for when I attach the word greatness to somone.  I can admit, with great confidence, that greatness and JC go hand-in-hand.  There is so much that I want to say about her, but I will stick to the most important things.

For instance JC knows what it's like to be raised as a foster child in the system.  She has devoted the rest of her life, to improving and saving the lives of foster children.  Her website is an absolute gem and a wealth of information.  http://www.fostercareinamerica.com is completely dedicated to foster children and foster care.  If you happen by her twitter page @jcflamini you will see what I mean.  Like me, she only tweets with purpose.  She tweets to inform.  She tweets to bring awareness.  She does not use her status in life, or her popularity for anything other than saving the life of a child. 

She is a great friend, a fantastic sister and is totally devoted to the cause like me.  I guess you could say it just runs in our blood.  I love her.  I love what she stands for.  I love that she is giving others a chance to succeed.  So, check out @jcflamini on twitter and discover why it is that she is a strong voice and legendary leader of tomorrow; today.

I would now like to introduce you to @LEXXISAAL.  There are those in life who set the bar high for others who have dreams of greatness.  They define life by living it in such a way that others are immediately inspired to do what they do.  That inspiration can be found in a beautifully talented, and loving individual by the name of Lexxi Saal.  So how is it that one so young made my elite list?  Well, pull up a chair and let me tell you what you should know, and why you should know it.  Lexxi Saal has managed to do, and is doing, what most adults can't find the time to do.  She has started her own Non-for-profit organization called www.lexxiloves.org.  The Organization was established to help foster children through clothing drives, toy drives etc..

Aside from hitting the books at school, @LEXXISAAL, and her team of equally talented friends, also have business meetings to determine what the next step for the Organization will be.  Yes, you heard me right.  She is absolutely, without question, a definitive voice and legendary leader of tomorrow; today.  She is defining her life by using it to help improve the lives of children in foster care.  She is my tiny hero of sorts.  Most people spend their whole life dreaming about doing.  While they dream Lexxi does.  Her talent is God given, but her drive, and generosity of spirit comes from her mother.

The Bible says "And a child will lead them".  I just introduced you to the child.  Follow @LEXXISAAL and be inspired to change the world one life at a time.
